History
Richard is the father of Maxine and is first seen at a dinner between his wife, daughter, and his daughter’s boyfriend Malcolm. We find out after the fact that Richard is not that fond of Malcolm. He is later confronted by Maxine who decides to move out as she is tired of her parents trying to control her life. He later makes peace with Maxine at her wedding.
Her later finds out he has cancer, and despite Malcolm and Maxine trying their best to find a cure, he still dies.
