When Bonnie Harris locked her daughter Debbie out of their apartment following an argument, she was enraged to discover that she had spent the night with Dragon. She made a long telephone call to Debbie’s ex-boyfriend, Arnold Dimple, and got the young man angry enough to act.

Arnold raced over to Dragon’s apartment, knocked on the door and fired as it was opened, intending to kill his love rival. Unfortunately, Debbie answered the door and was shot through the brain and died. Arnold realized what he had done and proceeded to shoot his own brains out, dying instantly.

After his soul was sent to Hell, Arnold struck a deal with the Devil to return as the Fiend, a demonic creature that would claim revenge upon Dragon, with the hope of claiming the hero’s soul for his new master. The Fiend set about locating the perfect host and after two ill-fated attempts, he identified the perfect partner in the form of Bonnie Harris.

Bonnie had no idea that her new partner was her daughter’s killer and used her new powers to torment Dragon over a number of months. The Fiend finally got Dragon’s soul down to Hell but God intervened on the hero’s behalf. Bonnie learned that Arnold was her ally and turned on him. The two were soon condemned to Hell for the rest of eternity for their crimes.
