Cindy Martinez was a television news reporter that was present on Dragon’s first day on the Chicago Police Department, covering the story on how he had brought in so many criminal super-freaks in such a short amount of time. She later attempted to gain an interview with Dragon before the Youngblood member Badrock (then known as Bedrock) attacked him. Bedrock had hoped to test Dragon to see if he was tough enough to join his team but succeeded only in getting arrested for his reckless actions.
