History
Joey Finkleberry was an ordinary student that unfortunately suffered an extraordinary amount of physical and verbal abuse at the hands of his classmates, teachers, local pets and even his own father. One morning he woke up to discover that mutant powers had manifested over night and that he was now the strongest person in the world.
After striking down his father, Joey kicked the dog that had routinely bitten him clear across the street before heading into school. He proceeded to slaughter his teachers and his fellow students without mercy. Dragon and Freak Force were called in to deal with this tragedy. Dragon eventually managed to talk the child down and he gave himself up to the authorities to pay for his crimes.
During the first Bludgeon’s opening rampage in Chicago, many of the city’s heroes had fallen before the villain’s might. Rapture paid a visit to Joey at Stronghold Penitentiary and secured his assistance, defeating Bludgeon as a way of making amends for his crimes. Joey was relied upon again by Freak Force when they were besieged by the Frightening Force.
When CyberFace took control of Earth, Joey Finkleberry was released from prison and recruited by the dictator for the Vicious Circle. His unparalleled strength was then deployed to slaughter the vast majority of the planet’s heroes, enabling CyberFace to remain in power. Joey has since remained with the Vicious Circle and was part of Mister Glum’s superhuman army when the alien conquered Earth using the God Gun.
