History
Master Scourge was the leader of the Covenant of the Sword, commanding the Council which served as the organisation’s ruling body. He oversaw the brain-washing of SuperPatriot upon the hero’s capture when he had been sent by the government to target one of their operations. The hero eventually broke loose but the Covenant’s plans simply changed to adapt to these events.
In an effort to build a superhuman army for the future, Master Scourge had agents abduct the newly born Malcolm Dragon from Hillman Hospital. They left a construct to serve as a decoy, staging the child’s death. This enabled the Covenant to raise Malcolm loyal to their beliefs. When Damien DarkLord was born, he assumed control of the Covenant but Master Scourge remained in a position of authority, masterminding Jennifer Murphy’s abduction prior to her wedding to Dragon.
When Universo came to every Earth in the multiverse, he consumed the planet that still had the Covenant’s presence.
