History

Gateway was one of the many villains that emerged during the Gang War that saw the Vicious Circle fight amongst itself for a new ruler. CyberFace ultimately won the conflict and he united the freaks together under a banner of brotherhood. He then had Gateway teleport his army away before the authorities could confront them.

When Horde dispatched dozens of freaks to kill off Dragon they were all shrunk down by a Martian weapon. Gateway was amongst this roster of villains and if it were not for him then the tiny criminals would not have been able to travel around as easily. The shrinking process was eventually reversed and Gateway could return to his duties.

Gateway later helps Dart II in her attack of Stronghold Penitentiary in order to free members of the Vicious Circle by using his powers to open a portal to allow other members to enter. However, his portal is closed when Dragon murders him by shooting him in the back.
